In addition to being the most attractive area of the city due to its buildings, streets, antique shops and atmosphere, Las Letras is just a few steps away from the Prado Museum, the Paseo de Recoletos, the Cortes, the Fuente de Neptuno and many other must-see places in Madrid.
The apartment:
This apartment is located on the third floor of a building with a lift. Its main attraction is the brightness conferred by the 7 balconies onto the street, which is quite unusual and will allow you to enjoy the most authentic atmosphere of Madrid from above.
Like all old houses of this category, it has a large entrance hall that leads to the long corridor from which each room is accessed. Three of the bedrooms and the living room have balconies onto the street; the kitchen and bathrooms are internal, as is a fourth, smaller bedroom.
This large apartment can accommodate 8 people, distributed in 2 bedrooms with a double bed and 2 bedrooms with two separate beds each.
The living room, which is large and bright, is divided into two rooms separated by wooden doors.
The decor, conservative and respectful of the original character of the property, features many antique pieces of great sentimental and artistic value that, combined with more modern pieces, give the rooms an elegant and sober touch.
The apartment has 2 simple but practical bathrooms and a large, fully equipped kitchen with a table and chairs.
Air conditioning and internet are available in all rooms.

Important: in the case of bookings of 30 nights or more, a seasonal rental contract will need to be signed.

The neighbourhood: Comfort, design and quality La Latina is a lively neighbourhood located on the site of a medieval Islamic fortress, a labyrinth of narrow streets with numerous tapas bars and taverns. The Royal Basilica of San Francisco el Grande, with works by Goya, and the Church of San Pedro el Viejo, which has a Mudéjar tower, are two of the landmarks of the neighbourhood. On Sundays, both the El Rastro flea market and the cafes and street food stalls in the area are filled with visitors. This apartment is located in the city centre, just a few metres from the La Latina metro station. La Latina is one of the best areas in Madrid for tapas: here you will find very traditional restaurants and bars, as well as completely innovative ones. It is the ideal place to have an aperitif on Sundays and perfect if you want to do some shopping at the Rastro, a very varied open-air market. Location was great. The apartment was of a decent size and as advertised had 4 bedrooms and 2 baths. Rooms were clean and bedding and towels were present. Rooms are on the 3rd floor but there is a working elevator to help bring luggage up.

The kitchen did not have very many glasses - for a 4 bedroom apartment, one would expect to see a few more glasses wine glasses would have been nice.
